We told the kids that they had to come down to the airport with daddy because he had a meeting. Little did they know it was part of our secret plan to surprise the kids. Once we got to our surprise location, we shouted "April Fool's!" and told them there was no meeting, just lots of fun at Great Wolf Lodge.
They were so excited- maybe more excited than we were expecting. But, that is what it is all about and they were bouncing off the walls (apologies to the families on either side of us, above us and below us!). Kaiya was a dream (although she did wake up in the middle of the night) and she had so much fun in the water. Kalee loved the water slides and went on them multiple times, but Koebe was just content to hang in the wave pool and make new friends.
We wrapped up today with a baseball game where Koebe had a couple good hits. We thought he would have a meltdown being so tired from swimming, but he held up and helped his team get some outs to boot! All in all- lots of fun!
